Mobile Device Management (MDM) enrollment and configuration
How do I enroll HMD Terra M into an MDM?
During the initial Setup Wizard, you will be prompted to enroll the device into a Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution.
- When asked, select
Yes to enable device management. - Scan the QR code provided by your organization.
- Follow the on-screen instructions specific to the selected MDM to complete enrollment.
Once enrolled, the device will automatically apply your organization’s security policies, configurations, and application profiles.
What happens after MDM enrollment?
After successful enrollment:
- The device is secured according to IT policies.
- Approved applications can be pushed automatically.
- System settings, network access, and restrictions are centrally managed.
- Updates and compliance rules are enforced remotely.
How do I synchronize email, calendar, and contacts with Outlook?
To synchronize email, calendar, and phonebook with Microsoft Outlook, follow these steps:
- First, enroll the device into an MDM during the Setup Wizard.
- Then, ask your IT department to push Microsoft Outlook to the device via MDM App.
- Once Outlook is installed and configured, sign in with your corporate email account. Outlook will automatically synchronize email, calendar, and contacts.
- Open Outlook Settings and enable:
- Sync Calendar
- Sync Contacts / Phonebook
This ensures that your corporate calendar and contacts are fully integrated and available across the device.
Can I enroll the device later if I skip MDM during the Setup Wizard?
Yes. However, the device must be reset to factory settings in order to restart the Setup Wizard and enable MDM enrollment.
