When a customer returns their device within the first 14 days, how do we ensure all child data and apps — if any — have been permanently deleted?

As part of the standard return process, the customer is responsible for backing up their contacts, photos, and other content, and for removing any passwords or security features that could restrict access to the device. Ideally, they should also delete all personal data before sending the device back.

Once the device is returned, our authorized service partners perform a factory reset. This process permanently erases all personal data and user-installed apps, and the data cannot be recovered by the service center.
