Features

Welcome to the next wave of innovation

Featuring tons of new features and changes across the operating system, Android 10 is sure to help you get the most out of your Nokia smartphone.

Modes

A look and feel to suit the mood

Android 10 comes with the highly requested Dark theme – it swaps the interface colors for darker tones making it easier on your eyes when using your phone in low lighting.

Smart Reply

Predictive responses and suggested actions

On-device machine learning means that your phone gets better the more you use it. The Smart Reply feature predicts what you’ll type next and even suggests responses directly in notifications. Smart Reply now also suggests relevant actions, like using Google Maps to locate an address that you receive in a message.

Gesture Navigation

More intuitive gestures

Android 10 takes the system navigation introduced with Android 9 Pie and makes it even more intuitive. With smarter, more convenient gestures, you can navigate backwards and forwards, pull up the homescreen, and swipe up to see open apps. Everything on your phone becomes easier to get to.

Security and privacy

More control

Now you can manage all of your privacy settings from one place. Web & App Activity, Location History and Ad Settings can all be found in the Privacy menu, which now lives at the very top of your phone’s Settings.

Control exactly when your location is shared with apps: always, once, while app is in use, or never. You’ll also get a reminder when apps are accessing your location, helping you always stay in control of the data being accessed on your phone.

Sound Amplifier

Hear the difference

Hear speech and sound a little clearer thanks to Sound Amplifier1. This feature helps improve sound when using headphones by boosting, filtering and fine tuning the audio according to your preferences.

Digital Wellbeing

Strike the perfect balance

Establish healthy digital habits for yourself and your family. Family Link parental controls are built right in to your phone’s settings, while site and app timers give you more control over your own digital wellbeing.

Healthy habits

Family Link parental controls make it easy for parents to establish healthy digital habits for their kids. When setting up a child’s phone, the Family Link feature lets parents connect it to their own device. From then on, parents can use the control panel on their phone to check which apps their kids want to install, set daily screen time limits, view app activity and manage content restriction.

Site and app timers

Timers let you set daily time limits for websites and apps, helping you to better manage how you spend time on your Nokia smartphone. Plus, you can set goals that you want to reach to find a usage balance that suits you.
