Stops nudity from being shown, shot, and stored.

On Day 1, HMD Fuse has no socials and no access to an app store. But this is no dumbphone. This is the first brick for building a safer path for your child’s online journey. With location tracking and a contact whitelist, you, the guardian, can set geographical safe zones and limit calls and texts to approved contacts only. When it’s time to grant them access to apps, you can do so trusting that HarmBlock AI is always on, preventing nudity from being shown, shot, and stored on the phone.

Contact whitelisting means kids can only have phone calls and SMS chats with pre-approved phone numbers. If unknown individuals try to call or text them, they simply won’t get through.
Guardians can designate up to 10 safe zones — like home and school — and get immediate notifications when your child enters or leaves those zones. Track their live location and view 3 days of location history to see where they’ve been.
HMD Fuse starts off with no apps, but guardians can allow their child access to the Google Play Store when the time is right. When your child installs an app, it will be hidden by default until you make it available. From there, you can hide and unhide any app as needed. These controls are all managed from the guardian's HarmBlock+ app on their Android™ or iOS® device. And as with all HarmBlock+ protections, they are built deep into the device and cannot be bypassed by your child.

The pre-trained HarmBlock AI constantly scans on-screen activity, ready to block out images and videos with nudity from any app or website. It scans the files stored on the phone and deletes images and videos containing nudity. And if it detects nudity through any app using the camera, HarmBlock AI makes it impossible to take a photo, video or stream.
The HarmBlock+ service features a completely pre-trained, self-contained AI protection against nude imagery called HarmBlock. It doesn’t collect user data. It doesn’t share user data. It doesn’t ingest user data. HarmBlock AI does what it’s supposed to do, locally on the device: it stops naked images and videos being shown on the screen or captured by the camera.
And because privacy is a crucial piece of the bigger online safety picture, HarmBlock AI does not collect or transmit user content like photos, videos, or browsing content for analysis.
HMD Fuse comes with a Flashy Outfit to keep those selfies lit, and a Casual Outfit to help protect your phone from bumps. Both outfits in blue.

HarmBlock+ is the service combining parental control features and the HarmBlock AI content filter. These are managed on the guardian’s device via the HarmBlock+ app and take effect on the linked HMD Fuse phone that your child uses.
The HarmBlock+ app for guardians has the same features across the iOS and Android™ versions.
While it is possible to have both the HarmBlock+ service and Google Family Link in use on HMD Fuse, in most cases, Google Family Link will not offer any additional functionality on top of HarmBlock+.
HarmBlock+ is deeply integrated into the HMD Fuse device and cannot be bypassed by using VPN services.
HarmBlock is an AI-based visual classifier designed to detect nudity in images, videos, and live-streams.
