On the home screen, tap an app icon to open it. To open one of the apps running in the background, swipe up the home key then swipe right and select the app.

Swipe up the home key and swipe up the app you want to close.

Swipe up the home key and swipe up again to see all your apps.

Swipe up the home key , swipe right through all apps, and tap CLEAR ALL.
