Send and receive messages
Keep in touch with your friends and family members through text messages.
Send a message
- Tap
Messages . - Tap
Start chat . - To add a recipient, tap dialpad in the To field, and type their number. If the recipient is in your contacts list, start typing their name and then tap the contact. If you want to send the message to several recipients, tap
Start group conversation , select all the recipients, and tap navigate_next. - Write your message in the text box.
- Tap send.
Tip: If you want to send a photo in a message, tap Photos , tap the photo you want to share, and tap share. Select Messages .
Read a message
- Tap
Messages . - Tap the message you want to read. You can also read a message from the notification panel. Slide down from the top of the screen and tap the message.
Reply to a message
- Tap
Messages . - Tap the message you want to reply to.
- Write your reply in the text box below the message and tap send.
